Books about sports + Meet Waist Dear!

Hi, dear readers!

I have to confess that I'm not the kind of person who loves sports or physical exercise. I always rather stay at home and watch TV, than go outside and play some sports. Sometimes I like to walk at the beach and see nature.

But that doesn't mean I don't like to read books about that theme, which we will talk about in today's post: 3 books indications about sports or with athletes characters! And to get into the vibe of the post, I wanna recommend a store I recently discover that sells sportswear clothes (as for example waist trainer manufacturers), shapewear, and lingerie.

Waist Dear is a wholesale brand, which business today covers more than 150 countries and marks 10 years of experience in the shapewear market. Its mission is to make women feel confident in their own skin and to achieve that they actively participate in the sewing and production processes of the pieces .

Isn't amazing? Not only this, but the store offers a full experience to the customers with all the information they need: about the payment methods, shipping, coupons, etc. Talking about this last one, Waist Dear is known for its great price and high quality. Who doesn't love discounted sportswear? I do!

It wasn't easy to choose just 3 pieces from the store, but here are some of my favorites, which I think look a lot like the books I wanna recommend. So let's see them!

1 - Girl on the Run - Jane Costello

Picture reproduction: Waist Dear

As known in Brazilian Portuguese by the title of "Corra, Abby, Corra!", Girl on the Run talks about a girl who joins a running club with great purpose for a friend and also discovers more about herself and a guy who entered her way. It was a very funny book!

When I saw this suit on the site, instantly I thought about this book! I don't know if it's because of the colors, but I'm 100% sure that this is one of the perfect clothes a girl would wear to run.

2 - Avalon High - Meg Cabot

Picture reproduction: Waist Dear

Avalon High is a crazy modern version of the King Arthur legend but in a high school way. We have a lot of sports references here, starting with the protagonist, which is a girl who loves running, to the football team of the school: cheerleaders, football players, games...

For this book, I choose this purple running suit which looks comfortable and pretty at the same time! It also combines with the book cover and I love it haha.

3 - The Baltimore Boys - Joël Dicker

Picture reproduction: Waist Dear

At a first sight, you may think that The Baltimore Boys (in Portuguese: "O Livro dos Baltimore") doesn't have anything to do with the sports theme. And actually, it doesn't. The central plot is about family struggles and teenage dramas. But two of the principal characters dream to became basket players, and we had the chance to know a lot about this career during the reading. That's the reason why I had to put this one on the list!

And also, I didn't want to miss the chance to show you guys this amazing suit! I don't think I have ever seen something that screams more "basket" than this beautiful clothing!

Now, I want to know about you! Have you ever heard about Waist Dear? What was your favorite suit? Tell me in the comments below! 👇💬

Books about fashion

 Hi, dear readers!

I love to know about different careers in books. It's one of the things I like most about reading, because we can live a hundred different lives. In today's post I'm going to recommend three books about fashion! With protagonists who work with it, stories full of beautiful clothes and everything about this universe.

As we're talking about this theme, I also wanna recommend Azazei! Earlier I made a post about the brand, but in case you didn't see it, let me make a resume: Azazei is a fashion brand for formal clothes, which sells online and delivers worldwide. Besides the quality of the pieces, they also had great price and cost-benefit.

You can search by the event you're going to, by color, and even by the type of dress! If you're the kind of who loves mermaid prom dresses, you can find them and all the information you need on their website. It also has a large scale of sizes, including plus-size ones. Isn't it great?

So let's see the books, and the dresses!

1) Threads - Sophie Bennet

Picture reproduction: Azazei

Threads is a teen book about a group of friends who loves customizing clothes and dream about a fashion career. And they have the chance to change their lives, when they meet a refugee with a talent for sewing.

We have a book on the cover, so I searched on their site for a similar one and I found this silver version! Isn't it pretty?

2) Airhead - Meg Cabot

Picture reproduction: Azazei

Imagine you're a normal girl living your life and then in an accident your body is switched with a supermodel body? That's the plot we have in Airhead! A story full of mysteries and fashion!

Again, I choose a similar dress to the one on the cover, except for the color and the length.

3) Confissões de Uma Ex-Namorada - Re Lustosa

And for the last one, I choose the book Confissões de Uma Ex-Namorada, which talks about a girl who dreams about becoming a stylist, and the only one who can help her in this way is her ex-boyfriend... It's a very funny story and I love reading it.

The protagonist, Pati, has a strong personality and a great taste for fashion. She loves sequin, glitter and strong colors; and I'm 100% sure she will love this pink dress!

Now I want to hear you! Have you ever heard of one of these books? What was your favorite dress? Comment below!

Books about modern fairytales + meet Azazei!

Picture reproduction: Azazei homepage

Hi, dear readers!

Almost every little kid grew up listening to or reading fairytales. Stories with bad witches, beautiful princesses and princes, and of course, a very happy ending.

Life can be a little harder than that, but that doesn't mean we have to stop dreaming or reading stories that make us feel dreamy. That's why today I'm here to indicate books about modern fairytales!

And to get into the vibe of the post, I also wanna recommend a brand that sells beautiful long prom dresses and formal clothes, like a princess would love to wear! I'm talking about Azazei, an online store of global dress and designing. Its mission is to make customers' search for the perfect dress easier, and for that, you can search on their website by the category of the event you're going to: a wedding (bride, bridesmaid, mom of the bride), prom, and, other labels.

Not only this, but they have clothes in different sizes, including the plus-size ones and they deliver worldwide! Yes, even those who live in Brazil (Us, for example, haha!) can purchase in Azazei. I wish I have know this when I was graduating high school back then haha.

You can find all the information you want on their website: about the payment methods, their story, shipping, and measurement guides. There's nothing to worry about!

But, even with all this information I brought, you're not convinced to ship there, here are some beautiful dresses I found by myself, whose look a lot like the vibe of the books I wanna recommend.

1) Heartless - Marissa Meyer

Picture reproduction: Azazei

Is a book about the young life of The Red Queen, the villain of Alice In Wonderland. Have you ever heard that every story has two sides? That's the situation we find here, and I promise that you will like The Red Queen and feel sorry for her in the end haha. Don't you think that this red dress looks a lot like her? It even matches the book cover! I love it.

2) Princesa das Águas - Paula Pimenta

Picture reproduction: Azazei

Who else loves the story of The Little Mermaid? In Princesa Das Águas, we had the chance to know Arielle, a swimmer who is coming for her first time in the Olympics, but all she wants is to live the life of a normal girl. Reminds you of someone? I think Ariel and Arielle would love this dress! It reminds me a little bit of the sea, and I'm sure that they would think the same.

3) Menina Veneno - Carina Rissi

Picture reproduction: Azazei

And for the last one, we have another villain as the protagonist! Menina Veneno is a modern version of Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs, and who is narrating the story is the Evil Queen, or Malvina Neves, as she is called in the book. She's a model and very narcissistic, but also confident and sometimes, adorable. This dress scream power and I can see Malvina in these, for sure!

Now I want to hear you! What was your favorite dress? Have you ever heard about Azazei? Have you read one of these books? Tell me in the comments below!
